Carrie arrived with us in December 2023 scared rigid. As she was handed over she pooped all over me and the hall carpet! We put her on the kitchen floor where she remained for 48 hours frozen to the spot. We wondered if we’d made a mistake. Eventually she allowed me to stroke her and tentatively rolled over for more attention. Since then it has become a regular pose and life for Carrie has exploded into full scale fun. No dog has ever escaped from our garden but Carrie sees every fence and barrier as a challenge to get under. She has gone AWOL several times but thankfully always returns. She has wonderful adventures on our walks when she generally manages to explore everywhere she shouldn’t with her unique ability to sneak through every barrier with great delight. She entertains onlookers while raising our blood pressure and laughter in equal measure. We travel regularly between England and Sweden and we are so grateful for the European passport which makes this process stress free (as the EU no longer accept UK pet passports!). Carrie is very much at home in both countries, she loves us and everyone she meets, dogs and humans and is honestly the best dog we’ve ever had. We feel extremely blessed to have her in our lives.
